SHRIMP RICE RECIPE

Once you’ve tried this shrimp recipe, you’ll never order take out again!

SHRIMP RICE RECIPE DIRECTIONS

5 cups water
2 cups snow peas
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cups cooked rice
1/2 red onion, diced
1 sweet red pepper, diced
1/3 cup parsley, minced
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs canola oil
2 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced

SHRIMP RICE RECIPE DIRECTIONS

Put peas and water in a large saucepan and heat to a boil.
Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, and drain.
Rinse thoroughly with cold water and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, stir together shrimp, rice, onion, pepper, parsley and peas.
For the dressing, whisk together the remaining ingredients until well blended.
Pour over shrimp and rice.
Stir again to coat everything well, and serve.

SHRIMP SALAD RECIPE INGREDIENTS

1 lb small shrimp, cooked
½ cup cucumber, diced
1 tsp dried dill weed
2 tbs green onions, minced
½ cup celery, diced
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbs sour cream
2 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs Dijon mustard
1 tbs anchovy paste
Salt and pepper to taste

SHRIMP SALAD RECIPE DIRECTIONS

Shrimp should be cooked, shelled, deveined and have their tails removed as well.

In a large bowl, stir together shrimp, cucumber, dill, onions and celery.
And then in a smaller bowl, whisk the remaining ingredients together to make the dressing.
Pour dressing over the other ingredients and toss to coat and mix.
Let sit in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving.

1 clove garlic, minced
¾ cup mayonnaise
½ cup chili sauce
1 tbs horseradish
½ tsp dry mustard
1/8 tsp cayenne
2 tsp lime juice

SHRIMP SAUCE RECIPE DIRECTIONS

Stir all ingredients together,
and let sit in the refrigerator for several hours to allow for the flavors to combine.
Serve as a dip with shrimp.

SHRIMP COCKTAIL WITH A TWIST!

A wonderfully modern & simple twist on a delicious classic!

SHRIMP COCKTAIL BAGUETTE INGREDIENTS

7 ounces (or approx 200g) cooked & peeled shrimp
2 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad cream
1 fresh baguette, cut into four even pieces
1 large avocado, mashed
1 baby lettuce, leaves removed, rinsed & shredded
salt & pepper (freshly ground is best), to taste

SHRIMP COCKTAIL BAGUETTE DIRECTIONS

Cut each piece of the lovely fresh baguette in half lengthways.
Spread the mashed avocado over the base of each baguette.
Add shredded lettuce to the top of the avocado.
Arrange shrimp on top of the shredded lettuce.
Drizzle mayonnaise or salad cream on top of the shrimp, and season with salt & pepper to taste.
